My name is Christy and I am The Average American Girl (or not) depending on whether or not you subscribe to a girl, any girl, being average. I personally don’t believe in average or mediocre or any other form of what I believe is anti-humanism.

I think you are as individual, as authentic, as original as you choose to be. I try to always be authentic and in many ways original. I am rarely typical or boring or normal but I am always an individual.

I create a lot. I subscribe to the belief that success is not measured in one perfect piece but in many iterations of your work until you finally achieve that true essence of your soul in a body of work.

My medium varies based on each piece. I paint on watercolor paper, cardboard, canvas and even wood. The consistency is that all of my art is mixed-media in form and my favorite style is portraiture.
